Notifying field personnel about the status of their orders has always been a bit of a grey area, where too many messages become disruptive and too few create uncertainty. To solve the problem we’ve recently automated two key notification messages, “Fabrication Complete” and delivery status “Shipped”. Now when the production status of all items on a work order are set to “Ready” an automated email notification “Fabrication Complete” message will be sent to notify person who submitted the order. Similarly, when the delivery status of a work order is set to “Shipped” an automated email notification of “Shipped” will be sent to notify person who submitted the order.
