A new two-year degree at Columbus State Community College aims to have more students “reaching for the cloud.” The new associate of applied science degree in software development will offer a path to employment in cloud computing and will be developed in partnership with Northern Virginia Community College and Amazon Web Services Educate, the academic arm of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for information technology and cloud education resources. Columbus State has been awarded a nearly $600,000 grant from the National Science nonsensitive operations and rely on private cloud where they are required.
